To get school news to you, I will primarily utilize the district website and local media outlets. You can also follow me on Twitter @BeckyMAlbrecht. While these are all great for disseminating information and making announcements, the real root of positive relationships is open, honest, two-way communication so I will host some community open houses at the central office, utilize the Ask The Superintendent email portal on the district website, and take appointments for private conversations at the district office at 562-3255.
Please take advantage of these opportunities to communicate with me. I really do view my role as superintendent as one of service to your children and community. In my office is a small framed sign that reads, “We’re here to make good things happen for other people.” It serves a reminder of the purpose and responsibility at the root of education. As I start my tenure as your school superintendent, know that I will do my best and work my hardest to make good things happen for the students of Maryville R-II.
