Today, I was fortunate to attend a workshop these authors presented on this book. It was a great day with a lot of thought provoking conversation. I shared my table with six ladies (one just happened to be a former student from a grad class I taught - small world) from four other districts with very different demographics. It made for great conversation from different perspectives. A few of the best discussions were on the differences between culture and climate, emphasizing more teaching and less telling, why and how to celebrate Mondays. I can't wait until the next AC meeting to share what I've learned.
Professional development is important at all levels. It isn't just for teachers. It's equally important for administrators to keep listening, learning, and improving. I'm thankful for today's learning opportunity.
